Our mission is to drive the development of schools that raise the academic achievement of a diverse group of students in Colorado's urban communities.
Our Strategy
To meet this goal, Get Smart Schools prepares and supports talented leaders to open and manage high performing autonomous schools and works to create conditions for these schools to thrive.
Get Smart Schools will:
- Prepare 85 new school leaders and support at least 50 autonomous schools across the state of Colorado, increasing the number of effective school leaders serving kids
- Relentlessly pursue quality improvements in our network of schools and ensure that only those schools, which meet our high standards, carry the “Get Smart Schools” mark.
- Provide valuable training and resources to autonomous school leaders
- Increase awareness of and demand for new high performing schools
- Serve as a coordinator and catalyst for the many organizations locally and regionally engaged in education reform
