Tyler Lyons
Director of Special Projects

A Colorado native and lifelong resident, Tyler serves as Director of Special Projects at Get Smart Schools and has a strong background in the public sector. Tyler is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a degree in political science and currently pursing his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Denver. Prior to Get Smart Schools, Tyler served as deputy chief of staff to Colorado’s 47th lieutenant governor, Barbara O’Brien where he coordinated communications with stakeholders on a statewide level as well as built and maintained relationships with the political, public, not for profit and private sectors. Tyler loves to learn and knows the importance of connecting with the community. His involvement with education reform and economic development efforts has given him valuable experience building strong relationships and project management.
