Jessica Dauchy
Jessica Dauchy is currently the Director of Operations at the Girls Athletic Leadership School (GALS), a second-year DPS charter school. As a Get Smart Schools Fellow, Jessica is working within the GALS leadership team to further develop and execute the GALS vision as the school moves from its start-up phase into implementation. In 2009, Jessica left a nine-year career teaching high-school mathematics to pursue an MBA from the University of Colorado because her experiences inside the classroom helped her realize that budget and financial decisions impact student learning just as much as good teaching. As a result, she’s currently determined to bring strong systems and structures to schools and school districts. Through her graduate work, she developed a business plan for a hypothetical Denver charter school and presented the plan as finalists in the Yale School of Management Education Leadership Conference's Business Plan competition. Jessica was also an Education Pioneers Fellow and worked with the Boston Public Schools Department of Early Childhood Education in the summer of 2010. When not dreaming of new and improved education systems, Jessica loves to ski, climb, and play Ultimate Frisbee.
