Sally Sorte

Originally from Oregon, Sally Sorte attended Whitman College for undergrad and then joined Teach for America. In Hawaii, Sally taught 9th grade English for two years in conjunction with TFA while earning her MEdT from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Since then, she has been working for Google, growing businesses through a comprehensive marketing strategy. Last summer, Sally lived aboard the Atlantis, a research vessel in the Pacific, studying the life that lives in the 'basement fluids' beneath the ocean's crust while developing integrated science & language arts curriculum through Teacher to Sea. Sally is laying the foundations for a Health and Wellness Elementary school that develops students' bodies and minds so they may lead healthy and fulfilling lives in school, college, and beyond.
