Wendy Piersee
Parter, Mission Learning

“If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception, it is a prevailing attitude.” – Colin PowellOver the past two decades, Wendy has worked extensively in the non-profit education community helping to facilitate reform from a holistic approach that meets the needs of learners who encounter the greatest challenges in achieving self-sufficiency. Much of this work was encompassed in the development of the nationally recognized StreetSchool Network™ where Piersee served as co-founder and Executive Vice President for a decade.
Piersee led the development of the network from a local school to include 47 schools in 27 states serving 4,000 students. During that time, she facilitated critical organizational development strategies for the network as well as its member schools and several other groups working to stem the drop-out crisis. Nationally she has trained a variety of grass roots non-profit organizations using her book, The Practical Guide to Ministry Fundraising as the text.
Her experience also includes developing business and fundraising plans and consulting on a wide range of issues for both for profit and non-profit companies as well as working in higher education at Colorado Christian University, Northwest College and the Harvard School of Public Health.
She earned her BA with honors at Colorado Christian University and was named the recipient of two of their top three awards; the Outstanding Student in Professional Studies and the Christian Service Award. She currently serves as the Senior Education Advisor for 2 Revolutions and Pollinate Ventures.
