Valdez Elementary
Valdez Elementary is a Denver Public School with “Innovation” status. Valdez serves students in ECE (age 3 and 4) through 5th grade in a Spanish-English dual-language program. The dual-language program has grown each year and will grow to 4th grade in 2011-2012 and will encompass the entire school in the fall of 2012. In addition to the dual-language model, the ECE/Kindergarten classes also operate a Montessori model. Innovation status, granted in June 2010, provides Valdez with certain autonomies from District, State, and union regulations, allowing us the ownership and freedom to make Valdez an outstanding school!
