Linda Bowman

Dr. Linda S. Bowman has served as the President of the Community College of Aurora since 2000 and concurrently as Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs for the Colorado Community College System since 2005. Dr. Bowman holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University of Colorado, Masters degrees in Public Administration and in English, and a Bachelors degree in English and Spanish. Her community service includes volunteer work for Aurora Rotary Club and membership in the executive committee of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the board for the Aurora Economic Development Council, the Arapahoe/Douglas Workforce Center, Lowry Redevelopment Authority, WELLS Nursing Simulation Center, GetSmartSchools, Aurora Public Schools Superintendent’s Vista 2010 Council, and Colorado Community Colleges Education Foundation. She serves on Governor Bill Ritter’s P-20 Council and on the Preparation and Transitions Committee. She has been designated as a Co-Command Chief for the 460th Space Wing, Buckley Air Force Base. Dr. Bowman was named “Woman of the Year” by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, Woman of Distinction by the Mile High Girl Scouts, and a Presidential Honoree by the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
