Luella Chavez D’Angelo is the President of the Western Union Foundation.In collaboration with Western Union employees, clients and Western Union Agents, the Foundation partners with non-profit organizations through its Signature Program, Our World, Our Family®. Under Mrs. D’Angelo’s leadership, the Western Union Foundation has distributed more than $52 million dollars in grants to over 1,700 nonprofit organizations in over 75 countries.
Before joining the Foundation, Mrs. D’Angelo was the Director of Marketing for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. During her tenure at the museum, her efforts resulted in one of the museum’s highest annual attendance. Previously, Mrs. D’Angelo was the Director of Marketing for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. Subsequent to working in the Museum field, she was Vice President of Institutional Development for the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.
Mrs. D’Angelo is involved in several community organizations, and is currently the Board Chair for the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, a Board member of the American Heart Association, and a Board member of the Hispanics in Philanthropy, among others. Mrs. D'Angelo holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management and a master’s in Business Administration, with an emphasis on Finance, from the University of New Mexico.
